Human Profiling in Forensic Cases, Parentage Identification and Research Use on low quality DNA
The GT Detector Paleo kit has been developed exclusively to amplify highly polymorphic markers from low quality degraded DNA. This kit consists of 11 STR markers and Amelogenin gene as a sex determination marker. The markers used are among STR markers from GT Detector and GT Detector Globe optimized to work on special and difficult DNA samples. The GT Paleo multiplex system is optimized to amplify 12 markers within the size range of 100-300bp in a single reaction and these loci are differentiated with 5 dye system using fragment analysis technology. This kit is compatible with ABI 3500/3500xL, ABI 3130/3130xl, and SeqStudio platforms for detection and analysis.
The GT Paleo Kit is intended for molecular biology applications in forensics, human identification, and kinship issues. The kit has been validated for low quality, degraded (either artificially or real sample), aged bone DNA.

Compatibility​
This kit is compatible with Applied Biosystems™ 3500/3500xL as well as SeqStudio platforms for detection and analysis. GT Detector Paleo performance has been validated on aged, degraded, bone, and aged bone samples.
The kit can be used on DNA extracted from various sources as well as DNA obtained using either hair roots, bone DNA, or direct sample to PCR (extraction free) like GT BLB (Blood Lysis Buffer), and filter papers (GT DBC or GT DBC Blue).
Kit Content
The kit contains all the necessary reagents and buffers for multiplex PCR (Multiplex Primer mix, PCR buffer, GT HSTaq DNA Pol in Box A). Also, the kit comes with GT Detector Paleo Allelic Ladder, GT500 size standard as well as GTM5 Matrix standard for calibrating the Genetic Analyzer (Box B).
