GTE600 Size Standard

GTE600 Size Standard is developed to be used as an internal size standard with GTM5 (5 dye system) in Applied Biosystem™ capillary electrophoresis platforms to analyze fragments with longer sizes. Using this internal lane size standard facilitates data analysis and accuracy in determining the size of DNA fragments for fragments longer than the GT500 size standard. The GTE600 size standard consists of 34 fragments ranging in size from 60 bp to 630 bp, which are separated by 20 bp and include 5 intermediate size fragments. The sizes of these fragments are: 60, 80, 100, 113, 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 215, 220, 240, 260, 280, 300, 320, 330, 340, 360, 380, 400, 420, 430, 440, 460, 480, 500, 520, 540, 560, 570, 580, 600 and 630 nucleotides.

Premium Features

  • GTE600 sized standard fragments create the optimal size curve.
  • Used for a variety of fragment analysis applications such as microsatellites, fragment length polymorphisms, and fragment size discrimination.
  • Each GTE600 fragment is double-stranded DNA labeled with an orange fluorescent dye with an excitation range of 610-645 nm.
  • The size increases every 20 bases except for a few OD numbers in between to enable the software to place each size where it should be and start sizing from 60 bp or the first size in the range.
  • Capillary electrophoresis produces a single peak under denaturing conditions.
  • The GTE600 size standard is ideal for long fragments in the size range of 500-630, like the GT MD1 detector.
  • Each Genetek kit comes with the appropriate size standard (GT500, GT600, GTE600, GT1200, etc.).
